Private pilots in the UK can offer flights to raise funds for registered charities under Civil Aviation Authority. (CAA) General Permission, provided the pilot covers all flight costs. The flight must be non-commercial, with all proceeds going directly to the charity.

Passengers should be aware that safety standards are equivalent to private, non-commercial flights. 

Cost Sharing: If not a specific charity prize, pilots can engage in cost-sharing, where the cost is divided equally among passengers, but the pilot must also contribute.

Regulation: Under Article 12 of the Air Navigation Order (ANO) 2016, these flights are considered non-commercial, and generally do not require individual CAA permission if they comply with the CAP1330 guidance.
